Google and YouTube integration
Publish to YouTube from the creative timeline.
Inventio is preparing an account-scoped connection that lets a creator authorize a YouTube channel, choose publication settings, and send a finished video from Inventio without leaving the WalkMix creative system.
Controlled technical validation · Customer publishing remains disabled
PRODUCTWhat Inventio is
WalkMix Inventio is a native macOS creative application that brings picture editing, multitrack audio production, notation, and AI-assisted media tools into one timeline-based system.
A WalkMix account provides Inventio access, billing, devices, and the Business panel. A Google account is not required to buy or use Inventio. It is required only when a customer chooses to connect a YouTube channel.
USER FLOWHow the YouTube connection works
- The signed-in customer selects Connect YouTube in the Inventio Business panel.
- Inventio sends the customer to Google's authorization screen and requests only the YouTube upload permission.
- Google returns the customer to the exact HTTPS callback on walkmix.com.
- The server binds the authorized channel to that customer's WalkMix account. Provider credentials are never returned to the browser or macOS app.
- When publishing is released, the customer will choose the video and its publication settings before asking Inventio to upload it.
PERMISSIONMinimum Google scope
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.uploadThis permission is used for customer-requested YouTube uploads and the status of those Inventio-originated uploads. Inventio does not request Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or general Google-account access.
CONTROLConsent stays with the creator
- Connecting YouTube is optional and separate from the WalkMix account.
- The customer chooses which YouTube channel to authorize.
- No public upload occurs merely because a channel is connected.
- The customer can disconnect the channel and revoke WalkMix authorization.
- Private validation is limited to designated internal test accounts while customer publishing remains disabled.
